The traffic estimate sounds about right. The stop lights averge 3-4 minutes, which is a bit longer than most places I have lived.

To meet her, you'd think she's president of the Young Republicans, but she's very left-wing. So, she's looking for like-minded kids.

She's thinking small liberal arts school with law school after that--

SO, if from that you can comment further, thank you!
New College has historically had more of the funky/hippie vibe because of the class structure. Eckerd...not so much.

Happy,

Eckerd alum here. Five things about Eckerd from the promo material:

1. Highest ranking Florida school for number of students who get to study abroad:
Eckerd College . News | News Center

2. large variety of students from across country

3. Very walkable campus, socially active campus, has buses that take students to downtown st. Pete and other areas.

4. Phi Betta Kappa chapter

5. One of 20 most wired schools in the coutry (according to PC mag)

Five things they don't tell you:

1. Great fishing from campus

2. Waterfront has rentals for canoes, boats, windsurfing equipment and other things worth skipping an occasional class for

3. The older dorms aren't much to look at, but they are renovating all of them and the new dorm areas are extremely nice.

4. Not cheap to go here, but worth it if you are looking for a small school, good academics, quirky atmosphere, accessible professors

5. Food used to suck, has gotten MUCH better from what I"m told. Full service pub on campus as well.
