Florida's bankruptcy filings rose 44 percent to 95,354 in 2009, the 12th-largest increase among states.

For three years, filings have been steadily rising toward levels reached early in the decade before Congress overhauled the nation's bankruptcy laws. The 2005 alterations made bankruptcy filings more cumbersome, a move spurred by fears of lenders that some consumers were abusing the system to wipe away debt.
Bankruptcies surged to slightly more than 2 million in 2005 as consumers rushed to file before the new law took effect but then plummeted to 600,000 in 2006. They've been climbing ever since, with 2009 becoming the seventh-highest year on record, behind only the years 1998 and 2001-05.

2009 7th-worst for bankruptcies

Wow filing for banctrypcy might be necessary for some and for others a great way to avoid paying for the nice things they used! What a waste of money!

Which money? Where?
The money which never really existed, only in digital form, which was loaned out by creditors?

Usury == bad.
