Tampa has its wanna be's, but I feel Tampa knows its a small city, with a few nightspots. There is of course Ybor City, Tampa's Historic Latin Quarter(a mini French Quarter), with bar after bar, club after club which attracts ALL kinds to this area. The there is trendy SOHO/Hyde Park area, with more restaurants set in this Historic Neighborhood, there are a few small type clubs, I laugh when I see the velvet ropes come out, and you may hear "You cant come in dressed like that", but again I laugh cause it's Florida and it's Tampa. It really depends where you go, and who you mix with..there are all kinds of pubs/bars/clubs in the area.
St. Pete has a much more casual come as you are attitude, very laid back.

Default Thanks...

Thanks for the info... I have heard of the ybor city from a club owner I worked for in the past. I am sure Tampa will be more my speed when it comes to the see and be seen crowd that has flooded Atlanta ; Part of the reason I moved from Los Angeles years ago... Thanks again...

The nightlife is plentiful here. Bay street, SoHo, and Channelside are my personal favorite spots.
