No, we did not make the move to Tampa. We made several visits, but found that it was not for us.

I am also curious why you didn't think Tampa fit. What areas did you visit? We live in Wesley Chapel and your family sound very similiar to mine. I think you would have liked Wesley Chapel. What you have to realize is most people do not live within the city limits of Tampa, but in the bedroom communities: Brandon, Valrico, Riverview, Wesley Chapel, Lutz, Land O Lakes.

Maybe they thought it wasnt "diverse" enough for them. Or maybe they couldnt find a job

There arent many major metro areas where you have much less of a commute unless you live in some downtown urban dump or some place like NYC where housing costs runs more than some annual salaries do here.
