Im not very familiar with the schools, although ive heard good things in that area. The location is, well, beautiful-no pun intended. Very scenic Bayshore Blvd/Linear park and Hillsborough Bay is to your east, Himesl Avenue is the West border with loits of local retail, shops, services and restaurants(some of the best in the area like Pane Rustica, Mad Dogs, Cafe Paradiso....)old historic homes, to brand new McMansions, lots and lots of old statley Oaks and trees....high rise condo towers along Bayshore Blvd. Families, and professionals mostly in this area, excellent location as far as getting to downtown or the Base. Minimial crime area. There is a family YMCA on Himes, and city park.

Ballast Point is the same way, great park(Ballast Point Pier and Park), beautiful homes, older construction, newer right along the base area...Again, Hillsborough Bay to the East and MacDill Ave to the West borders this neighborhood...another minimal crime area.
