My family is considering a move from Iowa to Tampa area, specifically Palm Harbor Area. I am wondering how hard it would be for me to find a LPN job in the area? I know job market is not good ANYWHERE but am wondering if anyone has any knowledge of what it would be like in Tampa area? My husband is a salesmanager here working for Anhueser Busch(Budweiser) but he also has his CDL so he could drive truck. Does anyone have any ideas on trucking jobs in the area? We would probably be moving before we would have employment lined up, this scares me but I think it would be to hard to line up a job from this distance. We would have money from the sale of our house but I don't want to have to use alot of that. Any information would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I'd recommend looking into staffing companies for LPN work. There are usually opportunities in nursing homes and home health at the very least. Hospitals are much more difficult, though once you're established in the area I think it becomes easier. A quick look on Craigslist pulled up a very long page of LPN openings in the Tampa Bay area. I'm not sure about trucking but think it shouldn't be a problem. Once again Craigslist had umpteen ads for CDL Drivers. Additionally, Anheuser Busch has a major facility in Tampa so there is perhaps the transfer option.

Good luck!
