Thanks, I checked their website, but I figure someone who has been to the park might have some 'insider secrets' which is not posted online. I wish they would hide the convenience fee in the price of the ticket so I don't feel like I am being screwed over. I need 5 tickets and those convenience fees quickly add up.

If anybody else has a suggestion on the best area to sit with little kids who will want to check out the park, I'm all ears. Thanks

I don't want to hijack this thread but we will be visiting in the summer and thinking of retiring to the area. I was born and bred in the Bronx and lo and behold the Yanks are playing. I went on the Rays web site and it appears that the price of the seat to watch the Yanks is twice as expensive then if I wanted to go to the Twins game a few days later. What's up with that?

It's called premium pricing -- all teams do it for the better teams. The Yankees do it for series with the Mets and Red Sox, or Opening Day and Old Timers' Day.

Hello St. Pete,

After a few years of spending slices of Chicago winters in St. Pete, we're moving to the Gulf Coast next week.

Anyway, I searched for transit options to the Trop and got this thread result. Concensus seems to be that it's spotty and inconvenient for Tampa. (what are folks from Tampa called......Tampanians?, Tampaites?, Tampons?)

But what about for someone within St. Pete's boundaries? I see PSTA buses running 4th Street, but have never seen any buses around the field.

Any updated transit info to share?

Tampans

You can get a bus within Pinellas to the Trop...depending on where you are in St Pete it might take a while, but that's the case with all buses.

there's a shuttle trolley (free) from downtown STP to the Trop and back.

Thanks, folks.

We're going to be on the NE side of St. Pete....around 4th Street North and 72nd Avenue. Driving to downtown and/or the Trop takes us about 15-20 minutes.

I'll keep an eye out for those buses.
