Perhaps a hooded warbler? I thought it was a type of chickadee at first glance.

I'm not a pro. I'm just good at google.

Beautiful. Nice find. Warbler looks like a good call by graphix. Here is its song Hooded Warbler. Familiar?

Don't let him near my place or he'll be lunch. I've got a nesting pair of some kind of hawk hanging out at my place. They were mating in one of my pine trees, one of top the other. First time I've seen that without watching PBS. Then I was on the phone out back the other day when one of them landed like 15 feet away. I was never so close to one in the wild before. Birds are so cool.

I believe housingcrashsurvivor is right. I googled "hooded warbler" and it looks exactly like the bird in your photo. Really beautiful little bird!
