I was wondering what the price would be to put a solar pool heater onto an inground pool and how long it takes to heat the water

We were quoted $3,000 by Pinch-a-Penny 4 years ago. Our pool guy said you will get maximum 10 degrees warmer. You won't be able to heat it to a comfortable temperatures in the winter. Solar will allow you extend the pool use a month on each end. My pool guy also said he had 2 clients with solar heat and they both have them shut off. They don't even use them anymore.

I have seen at Pinch-a-Penny these large solar discs. They are suppose to warm the water using the sunpower. I don't know if they work. Pinch-a-Penny said that someone came in saying it warmed the pool too much. I find that hard to believe. These discs are not cheap either and we would need about 15 of them at $40 (I think) per disc.
