I was wondering if anyone has any information about the Sterling Hills subdivision in Spring Hill Fl. It looks like a very nice community and the prices seem to be very affordable. Is there any problems in this area, I know sink holes were a problem in Hernando County. My wife and I looked at this area about 4 years ago and the house we looked at was about 230,000 and now it's down to about the low 100's. The economy has played a huge role in the housing market but there are a lot of house for sale in this area. For the money it seems to good to be true or maybe it's just a great oppurtunity. Any informatiom would be a great help... Thanks

Decent community but when you factor in CDD and Association fees there are better values elsewhere in the county. There has been a large turnover in there with foreclosures and short sales which has increased the amount of renters. Schools are close by and are good.

Its a Great area, people who built outside sterling hills have been hit hard by the housing crash but you get what you pay for. so the ccd fees include two full club houses and tennis courts ,also a wonderful community if you have a family, its not a 55 and older community so if you hate kids and don't like holiday cheers stay out ,there are many ready for the box communties in spring hill ( heritage pines ,seven hills glenn lakes ) good luck
