I will be attending USF St.Pete this summer and will need a job to help me with the costs of education. Will I have a problem finding a minimum wage part time job in here?

of course not.

This is Florida. Part time, minimum wage jobs are as plentiful as panhandlers.

Where I come from in Florida panhandlers are rare.
Doesn't an abundance of panhandlers mean the opposite of an abundance of minimum wage jobs?

No, panhandlers don't want jobs, they want handouts for booze.

The abundance of panhandlers has nothing to do with the amount of jobs in an area. When there is an abundance of panhandlers in a community the reasons are obvious. It is both the politics and the mindsets of the community that allow it in the first place. The panhandlers are well aware of what cities in the country to hit on.

Try the call centers in the Tampa St Pete area. They are usually the easiest to find a job and always have openings due to high turn over. There are a number of them in the region.

They also like the climate of Florida. Is no fun sleeping outside up north when its 10 degrees out at night.

I always had good success working grounds keeping on golf courses,as its minimum wage there is usually a good turn over of employees and the many golf courses in the area are usually looking for workers especially when the summer students return to school, hours usually start around 5am and finish around 2pm and usually you are sitting on some piece of grounds keeping equipment all day. Very nice environment to work as its 1000 acres of pure green.
