Its official!! As of June 1st me and my fiancee will be moving from Long Island, NY to the Tampa area....

I used to live in Sebring when i was younger(for about 10 years) so i know what to expect of Florida.

We will be moving to Riverview inside of the Summerfield Community off of 301. Seems like an area that will get built up within the next 10+ years. Not an unreasonable commute to Brandon or Tampa, however being an HVAC Tech i will most likely be all over the area. I have to say anythings better then the traffic here on Long Island! I also fortunately am getting paid similar to what my salary here is in NY!

Its a scary but exciting decision and a whole new chapter in our life!

Welcome to Tampa. Riverview is a nice area. There are a lot of things to do in Tampa Bay. Broadway shows at the TPAC to Art Festivals. I love Ybor City with the Farmer's market and the Cuban Food. There are jazz festivals and Renaissance festivals..

My advice is this..
Look for the good things in Tampa, the bad show up soon enough.

Congrats! I am jealous you get to go one month after you made it official.I got 65 days until I head out and about 73 before I actually arrive in Tampa. Really beginning to wish I had moved my move date closer. Ah well, garage sale season is upon us and DW says we're having 2 before we move.
