I don't eat much meat, but when I do, I want it very good. I bought some at Publix (hmmm...), and recently at Sweetbay (horrible, although I love it for vegetables). Someone could tell me where to go to get quality meat and not expensive? I can drive, it is not a problem, and freeze it for later.

Also, when I lived in Toronto, there were some places where I could pick fruits from the trees (not too high if it is strawberries or raspberries ), or if you don't feel like it, there were baskets to take them from, but very fresh and tasty.

Are there similar places here?
Thanks

There are many u-pick places in the area. Check out: Where to find pick your own farms and orchards in Florida for fruit, vegetables, pumpkins and Christmas trees.

I like a place called Jordan Farms in Dover. They have organic seasonal strawberries, blueberries, and other veggies. They aren't listed on that above website. You could probably google them.

You can search this website for previous postings on farmers market in the area.

Not sure where else to buy good meat, since I really don't eat it myself. I have heard good things about "Land and Sea", but a friend of mine said she bought some meat that was bad.

Check out Caccatories meat market.. There are 2 of them. There are other meat markets all around Tampa, depending on where you live. Flea Markets also have a large selection of fresh fruits.

You might want to check out

Fresh veggies and fruits at a good price.

thanks a lot .

I checked all the markets (from my computer ), and I will check for the meat. As I said, no matter where I live (currently North of Tampa but planning to buy.. and I don''t know where), I can go where I can find something delicious
