I have been in the business world for a while and this is my first round of teaching interviews. How do I know if an interview went well. It is so different than one with a corporation or a small business. Many of these schools are in a hurry to get someone in to fill the position. I am just not sure what I should be expecting as good signs. Help educatiors

That is not neccessarily true as most will have a number of interviewers and be required to fill out a matrix on all candidates.Interview is just one of the things on a matrix.

Yeah, that.

I'm also a career changer and I can't read teaching interviews. I've had interviews I was sure would land me the job and then nothing. For the job I just hired for, I thought it went ok and ended up their number 1 pick. In teaching, it's not so much about you doing well in the interview as you fitting the school. Sometimes, they're looking for down to earth and serious (like me) and sometimes they're looking for the cheerleader type teacher (that's who I usually lose out to).

What I find disconcerting is interview after interview followed by a command performance and then the command performance, usually, isn't your target audience.

Good luck.

All you can do is wait and see if they call you back to teach a lesson.
