So here's the stipulation I'm in in a nutshell: B.S. degree in Biology marine/aquatics specialization, turned down from internships, not very good outlook for getting a job, student loan debt, scared 22 year old. I'm considering becoming either a biology or phys ed teacher, or an environmental/outdoor educator. My top pick would be phys ed teacher, although I realize that's not what my degree is in. Florida is my state of choice, but I'm also considering South Carolina.
My question for you all is: what are my routes to becoming a teacher in either of these states, and would it be more beneficial to go back to grad school for a master's or just do a certification route? Seeing as I'm already in lots of loan debt, I hate the idea of acquiring more if I don't necessarily need to. Also, if anyone knows any insight to becoming a phys ed teacher with a non-exercise degree that would be great. Thanks so much!!!
