As a sub assistant, sometimes I get thrown a loop where I am asked to give a lesson and there are no real directions, just a worksheet for them to do. Although I have a master's in education there are some things that require 5-10 min to study before I try to teach it to the students. I can't ask the teacher because she's got her own group and the regular aide doesn't leave any instructions. What do you suggest? Should I have them look at a book while I try to figure it out? I am working in a classroom tomorrow where I've had that experience before and I just want to be prepared.
