According to Webster a teacher is a person who teaches, especially in a school. Just because it is a daycare does not mean learning isn't taking place. Whenever there is learning taking place then it is teaching. So what do you call Pre-K teachers in public schools? I taught Pre K just in a daycare. Correction I do have certification and enough training to classify myself as a teacher. I am just not certified in the state of Georgia. I a certified VPK, K-6 in the state of Florida. My grades of interests are just Pre-K-2nd.
Also stop looking down on daycare workers because they mold the foundation in children for public school workers. Daycare workers get the most grunt work. Unlike you all, I know that child develop and learning starts in daycares and I thank those that build a strong early learning foundation. so have several seats.
You have never compleated a teacher prep program. There is no way you're a fully licensed teacher in any state. I do not look down on those who work in daycares. I do however have issue with someone, who is clearly unqualified, representing themselves as a teacher.

I never completed a teacher prep in GA. I completed a teacher prep in FLA. That certified me to teach Pre-kindergarten. It was an entire semester.
Have it ever occured to you that I am typing on my phone as well as mulit-tasking?
You can point out sentence structure, but fail to realize when an employer down right nasty. I know my worth and I am aware of my ability to ignite young minds which is why I take nothing but the best.
"Have it ever occurred" subject verb agreement and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Hopefully your teacher prep program, if you get in, can help you improve your writing.

I'm just going to BS. If you were fully licensed in Florida, as you claim, you could have used the reciprocity agreement in place to gain your Georgia license. You don't have to attend a teacher prep program in every state in which you teach. Any teacher who had actually been through the licensing process would know, or research, this information. Also a school would have to inquire about the same when you tried to enroll in a teacher prep program. You don't go to college to earn two of the same degrees.
I don't think anyone here is looking down on daycare workers. What we're looking down on is altogether another matter.
Yes, it isn't putting any profession down. I certainly couldn't do daycare work of the sort we are discussing. What we are trying to put into perspective is that different levels of working with children have more or less qualifications required. But then again, the OP doesn't fully meet minimal qualifications.

I have to take a class to pass the content assesment. If I apply for reciprocity I still have to take the content assesment to earn Ga Licensure. That is the same with every state.

I am not sure how it works in your state, but in Georgia and in Florida you can gain your teacher certification with just a Bachelor Degree. I am an educator by trade. I have a degree in Sociology and Anthropology, but I also have a teacher certification in PreK.
