Well I can't really think of a reason for her to be threatened, without changing everything else. Rape is a very different motive then threatening for some reason, so changing the motive changes everything else, where as I am trying to come up with a motive that doesn't change everything else.
Sounds like your mind is made up. My point still stands.....either follow the rules or suffer the consequences. If the consequences are worth it to you, then go ahead. If not, then you will need to change it.

Blackmail of some kind? A kidnapped child or threat of such?
Well I could write that but then everything in the script changes. I can't just change the motivation and keep the same plot, as a quick fix. It's not like I can just take out one motivation, and slap in another without anything else changing. The plot could be the same somewhat, but then the script explores different themes, and the themes do not go with the current plot, if that makes sense. I'm going to try to write an all new script, and i was able to get an extension from the dean at the school.
since my script was rejected i was able to get an extension, but i kind of had to go to the dean, sort of over the teacher's head, and not sure if that was a good thing or not.
