I too, agree with what HappyHappy001 posted in general. He/she (I don't have the right pronoun - please forgive me) is also correct about the existence of left-wing indoctrination/woke nonsense centers. Their existence is well documented in certain areas of the U.S. Most recently as reported in Culver City, California. I firmly believe that they barely exist in most of our country (such as my area), but are making every effort to further penetrate these areas.
Teaching is a very difficult occupation and people who think otherwise are simply ignorant. It's MUCH harder now than it was decades ago. Clueless Administrators, academics with no real teaching experience inventing new theories, politicians, AND parents have made it no longer a very appealing job.
Get back to the basics of years ago, adding in computer/technology knowledge, and find a way to teach these to all the children who
WANT to learn. Keep the standards high and competitive. Keep valedictorians, salutatorians, National Honor Society, and AP courses. For those who don't care to put in any effort, set up a different environment to learn life skills where they can learn how to be productive people.
Get rid of all the gender crap and discuss race based on actual historical facts, but stop dwelling on it. If someone needs a safe room, drop out of school and go back to your basement.
Make school about academics and let the teachers teach subject matter without being shackled by level after level of curriculum directors and administrators piling endless reports on the teacher's desks.
Doing what I stated above, just might start young college students to consider teaching as a career again.
