Jefferson City, TN?? (Morristown, Dandridge, White Pine: houses, transfer to, school districts)

There is an Opportunity for my family to transfer to Jefferson City. We are wondering about the School System. Here in my current state they class schools by levels, with level 5 being the the best. What level are the Jefferson City Schools. We have one in High School and one in Middle School. Also what are the ethnic ratios within the school system?

I too come from a state where schools and classes are graded, we were an A+ school, we live in the city nope I mean town next door, and well I really do not like Jefferson City too much, it just looks old, not charming old, but dirty old. Dandridge is a great historic town, which is only a couple of miles away. Everything is a couple miles away LOL. But I looked at many houses from Sevier County to Jefferson County, and I preferred the town of Dandridge over Morristown or Jefferson City. I currently live in Jefferson City, TN. I moved here a couple of years ago from central CA. My two children attend Jefferson Middle School & Jefferson Elementary School. I could not have asked for a better run public school. The principals at each school are the best I have ever run into. Many people who live in the Jefferson County School District are trying to get their children into the Jefferson City Schools. I have not heard much about the schools in Dandridge, but what I have heard, has not been good. The only things that tend to get on my nerves about Jefferson City, and East Tennessee itself is the lack of great restraunts, and the closed minded people who attend churches for themselves. Their goals of attending church are man made instead of God made. I found it very difficult to find a church family who have the same desires to reach the lost and needy people of this world. My family now drives 30 minutes to attend church in White Pine, TN. Otherwise, you could not ask for a more beautiful, safe, welcoming, slow paced, quiet, inexpensive, and comforting place to live. I have met some very great friends in E. TN, and will never forget the relationships that I have built here.

We are moving to Jefferson city for the schools. All of the shools in that area are A+ schools. I am a sub here in the not A+ schools area of Tennessee. My children are not in the school districts yet but from what I have heard even the teachers are A+. GOOD LUCK
