I would definitely recommend wooden furniture for your husband. It's the most sturdy. Cracker Barrel definitely has a great selection, but if you know of an Amish Furniture store that is close by, I would try to check that out, too. Good luck!!!

Maybe you can find some at the flea market in Sweetwater... It is a huge indoor flea market by Hwy 68 exit - close to Cracker Barrel's. Dunno if Dinner Bell (kinda like Cracker Barrel's) have any for sale - they are located at the Oakland Road exit.

Just found a local Hinkle Chair dealer in Athens.

Hinkle Chair Company - Rocking Chairs, Benches, Swings, Adirondacks and other fine hardwood furniture.

Dealer Locator

There is (or was) another one using the same name in Englewood (further western McMinn county) but I don't know if it is connected to the Athens location.

Hiknapster - Thank you for all your help.
Rick Ray - Thank you. You are right about the wood. And I will check it out when we get there.
Bones - Looks like that might be the one. Thanks. It is a nice chair but might be a little too big.
Brian - Thanks for your help.

Wow, looks like I have some places to check out when we get there. That will be exciting.

Thanks everybody. Have a great week as well as a safe and happy Labor Day holiday.
