I am just looking for any information you can give me about this area. My husband might be going down to work with the elephants down there and we need to know about things like rent, utilities, etc. Also, is there a Wal-Mart near there? I am currently working at a Wal-Mart supercenter here in NY and would like to just get a transfer if possible.

Thanks alot!!
Gina

I just read the post about there being a Super Walmart there in Hohenwald!!! Terrific!!!!
My husband, Mike, works at our Walmart here, and could transfer down there with no problem. I am retired, and have my own Avon business, so can do that from anywhere!
How about Baptist churches? I attend a very good one here in our small town, and would love to be a part of a good Baptist church in that town or the area. Thanks. And I am not worried about anyone bothering our things,,,as this is further away from Memphis (ugh!) and also from the other larger cities. People usually don't bother other peoples things, in smaller communities.

Default Hohenwald...

What up... haha, Hohenwald is a very small town around 13,000... I have no clue where all them people are. I am a senior in High school and attend First Baptist Church, Hohenwald here in town. It is a pretty good sized church for around here. It isnt far from the Lewis County Middle School, about 1 block away. The super wal-mart is the heart of the town, but the bad thing is... all the other stores are closing due to this NEW super-walmart.. it is very sad... but I guess it works... anyways- our crime rate is very good. Everyone knows everyone here. Very good place to retire. There isnt much to say about this little town, its just little. Hope that helps you out. Later, Briar

Its called a Super walmart but it is not a super walmart..it is very small store with few things when you compare it to a super walmart.. i dont know how they get away with calling it that when it is n ot.
Many of the things you need have to be ordered and delivered to the store.

the pharmacy there closes for lunch each day, whether that is your lunch break you are using to pick up your medications or not. a sign says "sorry, out to lunch".. seriously...
