Hello; Well, what's the best of any kind of restaurant in or 20 miles from Gatlinburg-I'm hearing there are a lot of chains that like to look like "mom and pop's but aren't. Not snooty, like good home-style stuff, don't give a damn about anything but the food. :

We liked the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge, pretty good down home southern food.

Aw man, you would love the Back Porch Restaurant in Townsend, Tennessee. The best fried okra-makes your tongue smack your brains out!!
I wish I had some now.
Lovely place! We had their chicken pot pie special-really good food! We returned the next day for breakfast! Yummmmmm.

Townsend is just southwest of Gatlinburg-beautiful drive.
