"A low tax burden, safe neighborhoods and quality schools make Farragut one of the most business-friendly cities in Tennessee, according to a think tank report released Monday. The West Knox County community placed No. 2 on the rankings by the Tennessee Center for Policy Research, a Nashville-based nonprofit and nonpartisan think tank. Mt. Juliet, a Middle Tennessee community just outside of Nashville, ranked No 1, with an overall score of 74 out of a possible 100 points. Brentwood, Spring Hill and Franklin rounded out the top five in the overall rankings."

In the bottom 5 were Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Memphis, Dyersburg and Tullahoma.

That makes no sense. Farragut and Knox County pay the same taxes, are in the same school system (with West and Farragut both nationally recognized) have the same business fees and both have safe areas. It's the same county. Go figure. And, in fact, I had the choice of opening a business in Farragut or Knoxville and chose the latter because Farragut can be very unfriendly to business. Way too much regulation. So much for another list.

Farragut is just a feeder. What in the world do they even provide? Living off of another community can be beneficial, evidently.
