I canceled an appointment for Monday morning in anticipation of the snow and was thinking what a snow wuss I have become. Back in the day, I would have driven 20 miles or more in two feet of snow. Now, I look at the temperature and the chance of precipitation and I'm thinking I'm not going anywhere even if it's only a mile and a half away.

I second the emotion about the power going off.

You made me feel better about myself.

I would say at least 2 inches here. I'm just north of I-640 in Knoxville.

The Directors of Schools in Morgan County announced yesterday afternoon (Sunday) that schools would be closed today. We have about 4 inches of snow on my mountain and it's still coming down.

Bread, peanut butter and toilet paper are the hot items around here. We're cozy as along as the power stays on, otherwise we'll crank up the gas fireplace and put on more clothes.

Wish I was up on my TN hill right now. We are stuck in SC this time, and have a couple of inches here. Virtually everything is shut down here, especially since we are likely to get ice tonight. I have my work laptop and am working today. grrr!

We were at the home place near Harrogate/Cumberland Gap for Christmas and were basically snowed-in for a week since we couldn't get up or down the hill. That was much more fun than this since we are prepared to lose electric there, but aren't prepared here.
