You might really look in Cookeville (putnam county). Its a microcity but still you can find some solace and almost country life if you live in the areas of double springs, baxter, algood, or monterey. No wheel tax as well which is a plus! Cost of living is very low..and not so many years ago Cookeville was named the one of the most afforable cities. Good shopping...Im only going to complain about not having a old time pottery or target....but...we have kohls, tjmax, goodys, sears, jcpenny. petco, and many many more stores. We are within an hour or so of Murfreesboro and Mount Juliet and Nashville...so you can get to that target and old time pottery anytime you want My allergies and sinus are so horrible here I can not stay and am looking to move out west this year...but if not for that I would stay in Cookeville the rest of my life..I have been here for more than 10 yearsish and was raised in an area close to cookeville...I have only lived in arizona for a few years back in 2002ish but other than that I have been in TN.
