And I'm not "going to" do something. I'm "fixin' to" do something.

If you tell us you are "gonna" to do something we will expect it to happen sooner or later. If you tell us you are "fixin" to do something we expect it done right away.

I started work on a room yesterday and I'm fixin ta get back at it in a few minutes. Is that fast enough? I'm "gonna" sell it (or around here it's "sale" it) sooner or later, hopefully sooner rather than later.

And everyone owns or knows someone that owns rockweilers.

And the L isn't pronounced in Shelbyville. Took us the longest time to find out where the heck this Shebvul was at!

And things are not over there. They're over yonder.

And yes, there's a test. And trust me, you want to pass! I've found it difficult to understand some of our neighbors. With some it feels like another language!

You'll always be the DANG New Yorkers, but as long as you are nice, you can wear that as a badge of honor.
