Well, crud! We're leaving here on the 13th and have reservations in Pigeon Forge for the 15th & 16th. We plan on touring around JC a couple days and then have to head to Michigan to see family.
Have to be back in Florida by the 26th, so looks like it won't work for us this
year, but I'd sure love to meet all of you someday!

I voted for September 8, the reason being that we are coming across from Florida and need to give ample notice for time off (I work at a Nursing Home) and of course to make arrangements to stay at a nearby Hotel. I shall stay tuned to the forum for updated info. Closer to the time will need someone out-there to tell me how to get to the venue, should be a great get-together weather permitting. Just noticed that you wanted a count......we are a family of 5, two adults, three children ages 11 - 16.

OK everyone, seeing as we just hit the 20 persons mark, I think that is enough confirmed attendees to reserve the pavilion. I just called and we missed out on reserving pavilion #4, which is the closest one to the water, but we were able to reserve #3 which is still close, but just a short walk. Still close to restrooms and playground for kiddies. I have reserved it for September 8th. I figure time wise from about 11:30 am would be a good start time and the park is open till 6:00 pm. If I am not mistaken that central time?? I am in eastern standard and I know the line is around there somewhere, can someone closer to that area confirm the time zone for me?
Just because the date is set, doesn't mean we don't need you to stop responding. (folks that haven't yet I mean) please list how many are planning to attend in your party as we will still need a close count. It would also be a good idea to start listing what you would like to bring food wise also. I will bring charcoal, condiments, plates, napkins, cups and such just so everyone will know for sure the basics will be there. If I could get 3 families to commit to bringing hamburgers and or hot dogs, the rest could bring "go withs" deserts, drinks or what ever else one would like to bring to share. OH, does anyone have a dog they were planing on bringing? I forgot to ask the lady at the park if that was ok, but if someone wants to bring one, I will find out for you.
The park is sending me a map and some more details, when I get that I will scan the map in and share the details and put in exact driving directions from all compass points. The lady said don't try map questing as those directions are way off.
I am so looking forward to meeting everyone and having a fun day!

I looked it up. Crossville is in the Central Time Zone.
Can I still bring macaroni salad and sweet and sour kielbasa?

Well for those of us who can't go... bummer but have fun and a good time. Take a group picture and post it when you get back for all of us to see. Just because we can't meet in person, it would be nice to put a face with a name when we're talking to each other here.

Please stand up (or type) and be counted if you plan to attend this event this year. Also let us know how many people(family, friend etc.) total will be coming with you (include yourself in the number please)

I would like to attend (just me) but I had no date preference so I was just waiting for the dust to settle on the date before jumping in.
I'll bring chips, pretzels, cake/cookies and if you need rolls for hot dogs and hamburgers, I'll bring those, too. Just tell me how many. I'll bring whatever you need as long as it doesn't weigh a lot (I have trouble lifting). I'll bring my camera.

Let me check with hubby, but if all is good with him we'll be there, so Mrs1885=............... 4 or 5. Not sure when my mother will be returning my son from NC for the summer. Once I've checked with hubby and ok'd all I'll commit to some food too.
What's left out there to bring? Still the dogs and burgers?
