okay I am all excited to for our move to Tennessee and after a year of looking at towns I think we have picked Maryville, however.......I am in school right now and my paper tonight was on coal powered power plants! So of couse I am scared to put my babies anywhere near that stuff now, and I started digging for the paper on the plants in Tennessee (cause I need to know this stuff anyway) and it is kinda eye opening. So is Maryville far enough away from the coal power plants? Has anyone noticed any medical side effects? Should I keep looking for another town down the road a bit? How far do I need to be away from them to not be effected by the pollution?

Sorry, we cannot give out medical advice on the board. I would urge you to seek out evidence based statistics on your questions from a reputable source. You can also get information from the Maryville / Blount County Chamber of Commerce about power plants. Good luck.
