Default Lake Tansi

Does anyone out there know anything about the Lake Tansi area? I am still on my never ending quest to find the perfect place in TN!!! I can not wait to move there. Hopefully in 18 months my dream will come true.

Thank you Tinman313 the picture is really beautiful. I grew up by the water in upstate N.Y. so I would really like to live near a lake.

I can't tell you much. We did check out the area when we were looking for a place to move to in Tennessee. It was pretty. We just didn't care for Crossville....not enough available to suit me. Whatever you do, avoid the real estate office right by Lake Tansi. The guy there really downplayed Crossville, was very discouraging, told us there was only one good restaurant in town, and didn't even show us the area where all the businesses are...gave us the impression that there was almost nothing there. Can't believe he didn't want to make a sale. Things aren't as bad as he made them seem, but it's still too small for me.

Kim Lake Tansi is nice
You can stay there and visit if you belong to the association or not.
Lakes are not deep water except by the damn. Lake level by most homes is only 2 feet deep. Some lakes do not allow gas engines just like Fairfield Glade.
Alot of lots do not perk test so never sign a contract that is not subject to perk.
I've seen a 3/2 doublewide on a lake in Tansi for 92,000 in the last 2 months so there are deals to be had.
They have several things for kids to do in Tansi and adults, nice step down from Fairfield Glade.

Default Your Inquiry to Lake Tansi

Hi Tinman,
My wife and I have a vacation home in Lake Tansi RV Resort. It is not a " live in year around" resort. Everyone has their homes there permanently but usually arrive the first of May and stay , on and off, through November.
We have been there for two years and we LOVE the area. We take our golf cart and go to the lake almost every day. We live full time just south of Nashville where there is EVERYTHING to do However, we have never been at a loss to find great places to eat and shop in Crossville. Crossville is a beautiful place. The weather is moderate and the scenery is wonderful. It is only about 1 1/2 hours to the Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg. One note though, the lake (Tansi) itself is private. You have to be a land/home owner to utilize it; however, there are many other lakes and water areas very close by. Hope this helps you
