I'm looking for books for children between 7 & 10.

Thanks!

If you go to Amazon and search for Tennessee as a subject and refine it by children's books, you will have a good start.

Most of them are nonfiction and maybe a little young for the range you mentioned, but some like the alphabet books are a good way to introduce your child to the area in a realistic way.

Most of the other books I might think of would be historical fiction or set in pioneer times and not a modern-day portrayal.

Also, Amazon allows you to select an age range (left hand side of the page) once you get to the the Tennessee books for children and you can read the customer reviews.

My MIL has met this author and my kids have a few of his books that he autographed. He is also a Tennessean in my home town.
Amazon.com: Michael Shoulders: Books, Biography, Blog, Audiobooks, Kindle

They have V is for Volunteer, Count on us (TN) and D is for Drum. Each book has another part on the side of the page where it goes into more detail about something they mention on the page.
