Cool are there any music festival goers in TN.

I'm 19 and want to move out of MA to TN and was thinking about moving to chattanooga because I heard it had a hip scene. But then i've heard Nashville is better. I fell in love with tennesse went i went to bonnaroo this year and feel in my heart that i really want to be there. I'm trying to get some insight to the place before i go and want to try to connect with some other people who share the same interest in music as me like grateful dead, phish, pink floyd and more/

I don't know much about Chatanooga to run a comparison of it and Nashville. In Murfreesboro, there are lots of people at MTSU into that kind of music. MTSU is well known for it's recording industry program since it is near Nashville. And it draws in a lot of people with different backgrounds. I used to know several people from there with their own bands. There was one my friends and I went all around Murfreesboro and Nashville to see. There were more venues in Nashville than M'boro. Nashville also has concerts on the river front in the summer time. It used to be free, but now it is like $5 or so. I went awhile back when it was free. It always had a great mix of music. Also, with Nashville having MTSU so close as well as so many other universities and it being the bigger city, there are probably more chances to see other bands who still tour that you may be interested in.
