I would recomend that everyone do this before you make a commitment to move into a new area.
My wife and I live about 15 miles from Greeneville. It's a lovely area, I'm sure you're going to love it there. Be sure to go eat at The Farmer's Daughter out on Hwy. 107 when you get there.

I lived in CA many years ago. I loved it and always dreamed of going back, but it's gotten way too expensive. I'm currently looking into moving to Arizona or New Mexico.

You assume the people of Tennessee are all right wing, narrow-minded, judgmental, intolerant people ?

As far as the right wing goes, I'd stay out of Memphis and Nashville as both are pretty much liberal cities.

I figure I might as well spend my Golden Years with my own kind. I know other states don't like us because we sell our houses at an enormous profit and then move to their state and pay cash and jack up the prices beyond the locals' ability and that makes them hate us all. ** gasp for air** So if I show up with only my dog and my final paycheck, will I be welcome? (I promise not to say 'like' more than once an hour)

Just to let you all know the OP has not posted, nor logged in, since this last post back in August of 2006. Not much need to debate this one anymore.
