Fall Season
We are thinking of spending a few days in Tennessee again sometime in the fall - when is a good time for fall to appreciate the beauty of the country?

The leaf-watching season starts a little earlier in East Tennessee than in Middle Tennessee and it varies somewhat from year to year.
Which part of Tennessee are you thinking of going to? If it's East Tennessee, I think early to mid October is the peak season there.
And, with all this dry weather we're had this year (I think the driest year on record), the leaves may not look as pretty this year.

The past two seasons it has been from mid-October to the beginning of November. That is the Knoxville and Gatlinburg area.

Okay. That's my area. Like alleycat said, the extreme drought will probably have an effect on the foliage.
We had a tree that fell on power lines this weekend and knocked out our power for 24 hours. That was not due to a storm. That was due to a dead tree.
