LOL! Wish we lived closer. A painting party would be much more fun than painting alone.

Both of my walk-in closets and the "guest room" were used as storage. Took me forever going thru all that, selling some of it, throwing some out, and packing the rest. Now I have everything that I don't need on a regular basis in a 5x10 storage unit and it's packed full. I also have my own 5x10 storage shed that's half full, but my house still looks cluttered because there's so much I'm still using that will have to be packed last-minute.

I plan on moving to Arizona, so I'm trying to get rid of as much as I can so I don't have to pay to move it cross country, but there is so much that I have a sentimental attachment to, that I'm still stuck with too much stuff! I'm not taking any furniture with me, so everything in storage is just "stuff". Being a packrat ain't easy when you need to move.

I haven't quite figured out the Realtors in this area as of yet, aggressive ......NO!
In Fort Lauderdale as a Realtor you did not take a listing unless it was realistic because you were waisting your time, theirs and your brokers money. Here you just list it and after a year, 6 months or how ever long when it doesn't sell you talk and then possibly lower the price. I guess its a non confrontational approach and more friendly. Its the same with marketing your home. To us city people wanting results now, it appears stagnant, as though they are not trying but that may not be the case. Patience is something difficult to learn but I guess it comes in time.

OMG, you sound like my husband! He's got stuff in boxes that he hasn't even opened since he lived in Jersey in the 80s. It's gone from there to Cali, to Wyoming to Florida and to here. I keep telling him he needs to visit his parents and when he does I'm going to throw it all out. He doesn't even know what's in those boxes!!

My house has been a storage unit. We had company over Wednesday - their first time here - and as I started the 'grand tour' I got as far as the great room / kitchen, den, laundry and mud rooms, guest bathroom, library that we're using as our bedroom for the time being and then I realized...........everything else in this house is all storage!!!! We only use about 50% of this house. That really annoyed me since I'm having to pay to heat and cool 100% of it!

Oh - hubby wants to move to AZ soooooooo bad! You two are not allowed to be friends or I'll NEVER hear the end of it!!
