Knoxville's police tactics have actually been mentioned in academic journals and books, they appear to be on top of it with some people who actually use evidence based strategies.

Really? I was the crime reporter for a very large daily in the northeast and I know how small and large departments work. It does not surprise me that Knoxville is cited for its excellent police department. And they are some of the most polite and friendly folks around. They truly take the protect and serve motto to heart. As a fan of law enforcement it makes me very happy.

I noticed that a lot of people apply to their departments but very few get in.
