Happy Thursday everyone! I know it's really hot back there this week, but there is a small part of me that still wishes I was there instead of here in "beautiful, sunny CA. (NOT). Right now, it's foggy and cold outside. All week it's kind of felt like winter (CA winter anyway) has been coming on already. Even in the house I'm bundled up under a blanket.
Anyway, stay safe in the heat as I really want to get together with y'all next year when we finally do move.

science experiment
I'm coming up to Chattanooga this weekend, and will conduct an experiment by measuring how long I can stand outside in the humidity before my clothes start to become sticky. This sticky factor time lapse will allow for a direct comparison between SE TN and Ft Lauderdale, and settle the debate that rages inside me. Not in a David Banner/Incredible Hulk kind of rage, but you get the idea.
For all you kids out there...note that I am a professional---please do not attempt this at home. <----(my lawyer made me say that) Furthermore...no animals will be harmed during this experiment. We don't need the ASPCA or PETA getting upset.
Oh, that reminds me of a joke I heard....what does PETA stand for in Texas? "People Eating Tasty Animals"

I'll watch from the air conditioned comfort of wherever I am . . . (and really, no test has been necessary this week . . . it's been hot, even for here!).

We are in the throes of this heat wave and I still don't think it's bad. Fort Myers may have made me permanently impervious to the heat. See, something good came out of it after all!
The only thing I find brutal, here in Knoxville, is the air quality. Ick!
I don't remember Chattanooga having this level of pollutants, but I was only there for 10 days on vacation. What do I know?

Yeah! We set a new record here in Nashville. Sort of.
The hottest day since 1988!
