East TN pictures!
Ok, several have asked and I love going for drives in the country, so I am starting to bring the digital everywhere and taking some pictures out the window of the car. Today we had to go to my parents house in Rogersville so here are some pics from our trip! Enjoy! Now this route starts in Gray TN, we take 26 north, get off in Kingsport, onto 11W, take that all the way to Rogersville. About a 40 minute trip.
This is the view heading North on 26 looking towards Bays Mountain.

This is the view looking down on west Kingsport from a top of the Bays mountain cut.

This is a view from Hwy11W in Surgoinsville

This is the Holston river looking down streem, going over one of the two bridges in Rogersville that goes over the Holston.

Our trip to Jonesborough
Here are some Pictures we took along our round about way to Jonesborugh. We went down 75 from gray, through Sulfur Springs and Telford, to 11E, on to Jonesborugh. My camera was acting up and I mostly got only fuzzy pics of Downtown Jonesborough, but I did get a few good ones.

Glad you like them
Geesh Garth, Don't scare me like that, I don't think a few pictures should influence someone that much! Hahhahahaha
I am going to try to get some pictures of cities and towns in the next week or so, but kinda tough to do. It was fun to go out in the car, armed with the camera and thought to myself, what would someone for the first time here notice. It was nice, saw the area again with new eyes. I noticed things that before I just drove by without even really seeing. Was nice, I look forward to doing it again soon.
I do have some more pictures on my computer, but need to reformat, size and get out on the web, if I have time I will do that too.
Glad you enjoyed.

The pics are lovely! Thanks for posting them.
It made me think of something, though. When I went to western North Carolina, my Subaru was straining on some of the mountain highways. Am I going to experience that when I visit West Knoxville and Anderson Counties or are those counties fairly level? It's flatter than flat where I live now and it wasn't even a consideration when I got my car.
