It's all good! Those of us who are familiar with the Cumberland Plateau know exactly where your beautiful pictures were taken. I'm just tickled that you had a good trip down here in spite of the record heat! When are you coming back?

Oh, that's right. It's jguillot who was down here in the record heat. Sorry about that. Are you purchasing property on the Cumberland Plateau?

Nope but we stayed in Crossville with our friend so spent a lot of time traveling between there and Roane County. The property we're hoping to live on is in Kingston, with a Loudon address, just off Watts Bar Lake.

Cool Retiring in TN

Congratulations on your purchase, sounds like you had a great realtor, we want to retire in that area, could you provide the agency name you worked with, we would like to make a trip in October 07 and want to make sure we make good use of our time with a reliable realtor

Hi kdmartin,

I'm sending you a private message with the information on my realtor. October should be a nice time to visit as it will be cooler and the changing of the leaves will make the area even more beautiful. Good luck in your search for retirement property.

Oh yeah, now I remember. Sorry about that. You have chosen another beautiful area. Kingston is a cute town in a beautiful location. I hope you're able to get the property you want.

LauraC,

Don't know if they grow in TN, but here in PA we have a deciduous conifer, an eastern larch, they turn yellow-orange and drop their needles each fall.

Big Hubba is on a distinguished road
I am about to retire in the next few months so this past summer took a motorcycle ride from Ft. Lauderdale to Celina, TN and the Dale Hollow Lake area. Just loved it in fact I just went back up there and bought a home on a hill overlooking the town. The people are just fantastic very friendly and they actually say hi and wave and everything. He's a quick story I took some friends to one of the local restraunts for lunch while in Celina and had a good meal and good service so I left the waitress a decent tip. As I was leaving the restraunt she came up to me and tried to give me some of my money back because I left her too much, you have got to be kidding I thought but she was dead serious. These are just some good folks pure and simple, there are areas like south florida that could learn a lot from these folks. I can't wait to move up there full time and really enjoy some good hunting and fishing and the good life.
