Fairfield Glade is retirement oriented, has tons of golf and some quaint relaxing lakes. The weather is mild and the bulk of the people who live there are from Michigan from what I can tell. Crossville provides most of the basic shopping needs and Knoxville is 1 hour east, Nashville is 1.5 hours west to provide more upscale shopping and culture. The plateau is also on average about 5-7 degrees cooler than much of the state due to its elevation and generally has a breeze most of the time.

hope that helps

I'm thinking of going to TN in May to look around. I have heard alot of good things about Fairfield Glade. If I like what I see I will buy a building lot for the future. Thanks for the information.

I own 2 lovely waterfront lots on Lake Dartmoor. I will be there in May also to work on building plans for one of the lots. They are located just around a short bend to signature gole 14 of Stonehenge golf.
