Driving Directions from Bristol, TN to Charlotte, NC

Mapquest says to take I-81 north towards Roanoke and then take I-77 south to CLT. I think it would probably be just as easy (and more of a scenic drive) to take 26 East from Johnson City to Asheville, NC then take 40-E, then finally 85-N. Good Luck

When we went, we went up I-81, to I-77, then took I-77 south.
