Fall Creek Falls State Park at Pikeville will host its 29th annual Mountaineer Folk Festival on Sept. 7-9. It sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I could be there.

September 5-7, 2008 and it is right around the corner! This is the first year I am physically able to attend the event and I am really looking forward to it. Fall Creek Falls State Park played a very special role for me while I battled cancer and became more in tune with God and Nature! Fore more information on the folk festival - Friends of Fall Creek Falls State Park, Inc. But it is impossible to truly describe the unique blend culture in the local music, art, crafts, food and mountaineer ways of living life.
