Hi...
My husband has been offered a job in Paris, Tn. We have a 13 month old daughter and we would like to stay in a place that is not too far from my husband's job but is a fun place for me and my daughter to go out, explore and make friends. We are Asian Indians and i wanted to know if there is any specific city that is diverse and accepting. We are thinking about Clarksville, but wanted to know if there is any other city we could consider. I have been in the US for nearly 11 years and have made really good friends from all races, so i not looking for an indian community per se, but looking for an accepting and open minded one.
I am sorry, if you feel that i am assuming that the people in Tn are not accepting to diversity, it is just that i want to make sure that i make a right decision regarding a place to stay as i have a little girl and want us to make friends for her to play and for me to socialise.

Thanks in advance.

Murray, KY (Right across the state line) would probably be the place that I would recommend. It's a very nice town with a university.

TN does not have a state income tax on wages, but KY does. As a resident of KY you would pay income tax on your TN wages. The drive between Paris and Clarksville would be a long drive and would take time, fuel expenses, and wear and tear on your car. I would suggest living in the Paris area and going to Murray and Clarksville for fun.
