I could go for that.
Heck, I'd settle for the cornbread and butter.

Well, having been down here for 8 months now and trying every southern food I could find, Hash Brown Casserole, Hush Puppies, Fried Catfish and Fried Yellow Squash get my vote.

I took my daughter and son-in-law to Monteagle while they were here on vacation and we made a point of going to the High Point resturant, and although their website said they would be open, they were closed. It was about lunch time when we were there too. I also would like to know if they are still in business. I was dissapointed to find them not open. I had read on the website about the resturant supposedly being built by Al Capone for his mistress and that there were several hidden passageways to the roof and that under the floor was filled with sand, which was originally placed there to stop bullets. I have heard that the food was fantastic but I never got the chance to find out. I can tell you it is a beautiful place though with an outside patio that was set up for dinning when I was there.
