I am not Angelina Jolie. I'm weird, but not that weird.
And I am not motherly, unless you count Lauren. MBMouse mothers everyone. Not that there's anything wrong with that! ![]() |

I live in Central Florida and my electric bill for May 2008 was $400.00. I have a 1700sf home, 2 kids and a husband. This is not an unusual bill. It also includes water usage which this bill was excessive because my husband was watering the lawn almost daily as we had hardly any rain that month. Just one reason why our house is for sale and will be moving to Tennessee when it sells.

Our last electric was the lowest it's ever been at $80. A much nicer price than January's $360!

My electric bill last month for a small single-family house was $68. It's just me and a lazy cat. I do two or three loads of laundry a week, cook a little, and keep it right around 72. I replaced my heat pump a couple of years ago and now my cost to cool the house is very reasonable.

Thanks for sharing the chart. Very interesting. I'm paying about twice what Tennessee residents are paying per kilowatt hour. It is great to know that utility costs will be much lower in Tennessee when I retire there. ![]() |
