Rain on the way: raining cats and dogs?
It looks like the remnants of the hurricane that hit Louisiana and Texas are bringing much needed rain to Tennessee tonight and tomorrow. I hope it is enough to help alter the affects of the drought.

Thank you for the good wishes. It's all we could talk about today. Myself and my coworkers, we plan on curling up on the sofa and watching television all day. Gosh, I hope it finally comes.

We've already gotten a little rain in the past week or two here in Nashville.

According to my husband, the Cnn newsmeister, Atlanta had so much rain this afternoon that they had to delay the PGA tournament. Awwww, poor guys.
But, so far here in NE GA only a couple drops - not even sprinkles. COME ON RAIN!

My brother-in-law in Clarksville told us that they have also had a little rain in the past week or two. My cousin in central Louisiana told me at 9:30 this morning that they were receiving strong heavy downpours. This was all moving northeast toward Tennessee. I hope there will be enough rain left in the storm to help Tennessee.

There was a segment on the TV news this evening; they're bringing in hay from Oklahoma to help the farmers in Clarksville/Montgomery County.
Is your brother-in-law military? Part of the 101st are heading back to Iraq. I have a friend there who is "a daughter". Her husband is part of the 101st.

No, my brother-in-law is not in the military, but he has lived in Clarksville since around 1975. He took us to the museum at Ft. Campbell several years ago. Very interesting. Please tell your friend that her husband's service to our country is appreciated. If you haven't seen "Band of Brothers," it is a great 10 part series about the 101st Airborne during WWII. After watching it, you will understand the sacrifices the the "Band of Brothers" made back in those days to help guarantee our freedom and also the sacrifices they are still making today. God bless our troops!
