There is an article in the Crossville Chronicle about it.

I really wanted to go, but we had other plans. I'd be interested in how it was.

Hi, AlisonL. I checked the Chronicle online, and they had a note that it was in the paper, but there was no coverage on the website.

Do they have it every year? Can you tell those of us who don't have access to the physical Crossville Chronicle a little about it? It sounds like it would be a fun event to attend next year.

Wink Thanks for the heads up, AlisonL.

I see you are in Maine. Love that state! We used to live in MA and spent several summers cruising Maine coastline with our Corvette Club. Great times.

Thanks for getting back to me, AlisonL, about the Homestead Apple Harvest. I am sure that there will be some Crossville folks who attended and will post.

I'll go back to the Chronicle website and dig a bit deeper.

Default Apple Festival

The HOmestead Apple Festival was in it's fourth year. They have craft exhibitors, apple pie, fried pie, gospel music, bluegrass, etc.

It will be an annual event and is growing. Last year there were 5000 attendees. We wanted to be in town this year but it was on Yom Kippur. Hopefully next year will be different.

It looks beautiful and since we purchased in the Homestead area for the future, I would like to get involved.

I wanted everyone to be aware of it. Maybe we could all go next year and plan a get together that day too

Thanks for the info, Robbied. I didn't get the opportunity to do any more digging for it and this helps a lot.

My husband and I both said that it would be a great outing for next year. It would be fun to get a group together.

Default Always the fourth Saturday of the month

Next year it will be September 27th, 2008. I confirmed the date to make sure it didnt run into any holidays and I could start planning to go up there.
