We've seen the trees change here in Knoxville for the past month, at least. They got a sickly yellow then dropped off the trees. Coming home from work today, it truly looks awful.
Not Tennessee's fault. Not anyone's fault. Well, I suppose it could be those people in the Escalade's contributing global warming. ![]() I think fall is going to be as pathetic as our spring. To all of you traversing my area in the next month: It normally looks better than this. ![]() |

Sunnyhelena, we were up in the mts. in N. GA just across the E. TN line on Sunday. We were at 4700-4800 ft. and some of the early colors (sugar maple, in particular) were starting to show vivid color. It was so beautiful up there. So, I would guess in another 2 weeks we should see more color starting at lower elevations. Let's hope.
Hubby and I sat on a ridge, had a picnic, read our very different picks of books for an hour or so, one of us smoked a cigar, then back down the mountain to green. Nice day. End of Oct. should be great if the dry weather doesn't interfere. ![]() |

Are you feeling it yet?
Weather dot com says it's 77 in Knoxville, "Feels Like" 77. Humidity 24%, Dew Point 36% Here in St. Pete it's 86, "Feels Like" 92. Humidity 61%, Dew Point 72%. Those numbers tell me I'd rather be in East TN right now ![]() |

It's a rather pleasant day here in Nashville. It's sunny and the temperature is in the high 70's.
Also . . . we got quite a bit of rain earlier this week. Not as much as we need but enough to help. |

It was 50 degrees when I went into work this morning. My co-worker, a Tennesseean says he's rather be in Florida. Not me. I LOVE this weather.
They did a rain dance at the Greekfest, yesterday. It didn't seem to help. ![]() |

It's currently 57 in Nashville at 7:00 am. The high is predicted to be in the mid 80's.
This weekend is the first time I've really felt it was fall. |
