... Burn bans in effect for much of middle Tennessee...

Record heat and recent dry weather have caused high fire danger
across middle Tennessee. Fire departments have been battling
multiple grass fires across the state... with some of the grass
fires spreading to structures and resulting in significant
property damage.

Dry and hot weather is expected to continue through the July
fourth Holiday... and fire danger will remain very high. In
addition to the burn ban... local officials urge residents to
restrict or avoid use of fireworks.

Additional counties and cities in middle Tennessee will likely
implement burn bans or restrictions as the dry weather continues.
Questions about burn bans or restrictions should be directed to
local fire departments or emergency management officials.

My county isn't listed, which surprises me. It's dry, dry, dry.

Looking again like the drought we had a couple years back...

Farmers and cattlemen are getting more and more anxious. We really need some rain.
