In West TN, Highway 100 is unbeatable in Fall. The stretch between Whiteville and Henderson (near Chickasaw State Park) is absolutely beautiful when the trees are turning.

Great choice! The entire length of 100,from Whiteville to the southside of Nashville, would be a great ride!

thats one of the things that impressed my dad, hes a goldwing rider and lives in CT, theres plenty of pretty rides BUT the roads are INSANLEY HORRIBLE...its like an obsticle corse avoiding the potholes (and the spots where theyves filled the pot holes with a shovvel and a pat and called it a day, theres sand on the roads from october to september lol...take the real fun out of riding...
he came to visit me here and was in awe of the condition of the roads, even the unkept backroads are better than most o the main roads in ct...

Id agree on the trace and rt100 and anywhere around pickwick dam park too some lovely scenery back there.
you might also want to look into some of the local rider clubs, i know the honda club has groups in the area and while there primarily for goldwing riders (gwra) theres plenty of members riding other brands of cruisers too . the nice thing with groups is you can go on group ries BUT you dont have to, and they know all the best sceneic rides in any given area.

Have been checking out local MC groups to join for riding buddies am waiting on word from a all woman's group.. Pickwick would be great and I can camp down there.. and considering I used to live in that area I know my way around pretty good..like the suggestion on hwy 100.

A couple of rides in West Tenn - Hwy 104 between Jackson & Lexington up to Milan; Hwy 114 from Lexington up thru Natchez Trace State Park up to Paris, 54 over to Martin, 216 and 21 to Tiptonville.
For camping Natchez Trace SP, and Chickasaw on previously mentioned Hwy 100.

I had the most fantastic ride yesterday over thru Tiptonville on my way over to Reelfoot Lake..(took hwy 181 over to hwy 79) then I discovered hwy 183 by accident, lots of curves and twists.. enjoyed it. came thru Hornbeak then caught up with 51... not my choice but I put The Black Knight thru his paces and we came in thru Dyersburg, stopped.. then caught up with Upper Finley Rd to catch up to HWY 104..

Thanks for the ideas.. I am planning my next trip...
